Israeli Airstrike Near Palestinian Refugee Camp in Lebanon Kills 13
In a tragic escalation of violence, an Israeli airstrike near the Ein el-Hilweh Palestinian refugee camp in southern Lebanon has resulted in the deaths of at least 13 individuals, as reported by Lebanon’s health ministry. The strike, which also left four others injured, has drawn widespread condemnation and heightened tensions in an already volatile region.
The Israeli military stated that the operation targeted members of Hamas, claiming that the location served as a training compound for the group, which has been involved in planning attacks against Israel. However, Hamas has vehemently denied these allegations, labeling them as “fabrication and lies.” According to Hamas, the site struck was merely an “open sports field,” and they assert that there are no military installations within the Palestinian camps in Lebanon.
