Google Enhances AI Mode with Personalized Prompts
In a bid to encourage users to explore its AI Mode, Google has rolled out a feature that tailors prompts based on individual search histories. This innovative approach not only enhances user engagement but also provides personalized suggestions that align with users’ interests and inquiries.
Previously, all users of AI Mode received the same generic prompts, which limited the feature’s appeal. However, the latest update introduces customized suggestions that are refreshed each time users access the “Meet AI Mode” page through the Google app, Search widget, or Pixel Launcher shortcuts. This means that as users interact with Google, they will receive prompts that are more relevant to their recent searches.
Some of the latest prompts include practical inquiries such as finding introductory offers for popular gyms and workout classes, comparing memory foam and hybrid mattresses, and discovering staycation activities for the summer. These suggestions are designed to resonate with users, making it easier for them to see the value of AI Mode.
For instance, personalized recommendations might include queries like “Tell me about the making of Slow Horses,” which is particularly relevant for users who have recently searched for information about the show’s upcoming season. Other suggestions, like “Recommend a Lenovo laptop” or “Discuss Pixel Fold’s desktop mode,” are based on users’ recent research activities, ensuring that the prompts are contextually appropriate.
This feature is currently available in the latest Google app beta (version 16.24) for both Android and iOS, where the AI Mode Search Lab is enabled. Following the announcements made at Google I/O 2025 last month, the company has made AI Mode accessible to all users in the United States. Additionally, Google has begun testing an audio-only mode for Search Live, as well as a feature that allows users to create financial charts.
Looking ahead, Google is set to introduce even more exciting features within AI Mode, including a camera mode for Search Live, Deep Search capabilities, agentic functionalities, and enhanced personal context features. As these developments unfold, users can expect a more intuitive and personalized search experience that leverages the power of artificial intelligence.
With these enhancements, Google is not only making AI Mode more user-friendly but also empowering users to make the most of their search experiences. As technology continues to evolve, it will be fascinating to see how these innovations shape our interaction with information and digital tools.
